چکیده

Abstract. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) refers to specific quantum strategies which permit the secure distribution of a key between two parties that wish to communicate secretly. Quantum Cryptography has proven unconditionally secure in ideal scenarios and has been successfully implemented using quantum states with finite (discrete) as well as infinite (continuous) degrees of freedom. In here, we analyze the efficiency of QKD protocols that use as a resource entangled gaussian states and gaussian operations only. In this framework, it has already been shown that QKD is possible [1] but the issue of efficiency has not been considered. We propose a figure of merit to relate the efficiency of the protocol to the entanglement and purity of the states.

Efficiency of Entanglement Concentration by Photon Subtraction

The most used states in continuous variable quantum information processing are Gaussian states, such as coherent states, squeezed states, or Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen like states [1]. The latter type of entangled states are two mode squeezed vacuum and represents a common source for most quantum communication protocols, such as quantum teleportation [2], quantum key distribution [3], quantum dens...

Continuous-variable entanglement distillation and noncommutative central limit theorems

Entanglement distillation transforms weakly entangled noisy states into highly entangled states, a primitive to be used in quantum repeater schemes and other protocols designed for quantum communication and key distribution. In this work, we present a comprehensive framework for continuous-variable entanglement distillation schemes that convert noisy non-Gaussian states into Gaussian ones in ma...

Entanglement and Quantum Cryptography

Quantum cryptography is one of the most important quantum information applications. The present thesis covers several topics on quantum cryptography, such as the security analysis of quantum channels for key distribution protocols and the study of quantum cloning. First, we introduce a general formalism to characterize the cryptographic properties of quantum channels in the realistic scenario w...

Multi-particle and High-dimension Controlled Order Rearrangement Encryption Protocols

Based on the controlled order rearrange encryption (CORE) for quantum key distribution using EPR pairs[Fu.G.Deng and G.L.Long Phys.Rev.A68 (2003) 042315], we propose the generalized controlled order rearrangement encryption (GCORE) protocols of N qubits and N qutrits, concretely display them in the cases using 3-qubit, 2-qutrit maximally entangled basis states. We further indicate that our prot...

Three particle Hyper Entanglement: Teleportation and Quantum Key Distribution

Entanglement acts as an important resource for quantum information and communication. With entanglement between two quantum bits, protocols have been demonstrated for teleporting an unknown qubit [1], denser coding of information [2] and secure communication [3]. An arbitrary qubit can be teleported from one particle to another, irrespective of the distance, with the use of an entangled pair of...
